INDUSTRIAL TRACE HEATING | SOLUTIONS FROM KLETTI
High-quality heating hoses for energy and process engineering.
No solidification, no plant downtime. Whether it is a viscous medium in the pipeline or a frost-prone valve outdoors: KLETTI heating hoses keep your system at the right temperature wherever rigid systems reach their limits. As a specialized manufacturer, we produce your trace heating to fit your existing pipeline or valve precisely, always tailored to the medium, installation location and temperature profile.
Your advantages with KLETTI heating hoses at a glance
- Flexibility where rigid systems fail
As a flexible heating hose, our trace heating can be installed around corners, through pipe bridges and in confined installation spaces – wherever conventional heating tape or heating cable reaches its structural limits.
- Reliable frost protection
Valves, fittings and outdoor pipelines remain functional even in sub-zero temperatures and are protected against frost damage.
- Constant temperature control for viscous media
Continuous trace heating prevents solidification, blockages and costly plant downtime when transporting viscous substances.
- Certified safety
Our trace heating systems are manufactured in accordance with DIN ISO 9001 and additionally tested according to UL/CSA, ensuring that your plant is also approved for export to the USA and Canada.
- Custom-made solutions
Every trace heating system is manufactured in-house at KLETTI, with the line length, connections and temperature profile required by your plant.
Have our arguments convinced you?
Reliable temperature control for viscous media and frost protection for pipelines.
Unlike in the private sector, where pipe trace heating primarily protects water pipes in winter, in industry the process itself is the focus. Viscous media such as bitumen or heavy fuel oil must remain above their solidification temperature along the entire conveying route; otherwise, blockages and plant failures may occur. A KLETTI pipe trace heating system ensures precisely this constant temperature level – from storage through to processing.
In addition, electric trace heating provides frost protection for valves, fittings and outdoor pipelines. Where conventional pipe trace heating with heating tape or heating cable fails due to inaccessible plant components or complex geometries, our flexible KLETTI heating hose offers a ready-to-connect alternative. We adapt it precisely to your plant situation.

The advantage in plant operation. Heating hose or rigid pipe trace heating.
Conventional pipe trace heating with heating tape or heating cable is wrapped directly around the pipe and is therefore bound to its fixed geometry. As soon as a plant has numerous bends, branches or confined passages, installation becomes laborious – and the heating output at the transitions becomes unreliable. A flexible KLETTI heating hose solves this problem by design. It is not wrapped around the pipe; instead, it guides the trace heating through the plant as an independent, ready-to-connect line, including around corners and through confined installation spaces.
This is particularly beneficial where plant components are movable or need to be dismantled repeatedly, for example during maintenance work on valves or when modifying the plant. While rigid pipe trace heating must be laboriously removed and reinstalled for this purpose, a KLETTI heating hose can simply be disconnected and reconnected.
Frequently asked questions about industrial trace heating in process engineering (FAQs). You ask. We answer.
When should a flexible heating hose be preferred over rigid pipe trace heating?
This mainly depends on the installation location. If the trace heating has to be routed around several corners or "threaded through" an existing plant, a flexible KLETTI heating hose is clearly superior to a rigid solution. The same applies wherever plant components are in motion. We have the necessary design expertise to ensure that your hose withstands these dynamic loads permanently instead of wearing out prematurely.
What temperatures and pressures can KLETTI hoses withstand in chemical process engineering?
This is strongly medium-dependent. Depending on the chemical composition, temperature and pressure requirements of your process medium, we will assess the appropriate design together with you on an individual basis. Simply contact us with your specific requirements. We will develop the right custom solution.
Do you need custom trace heating for your pipeline or valve?
Regardless of which medium flows through your line or how your plant is configured: We design the right trace heating for it.
